We just published this weeks Live, Learn, History newsletter on Substack. In the newsletter, we dive into Germany's major offensive in May of 1940 that circumvented the Maginot Line, allowing Hitler to take Paris.


Germany's push through the Ardennes forest took France by surprise, turning their massive 450 mile long wall into a useless fortification that prevented their troops from engaging the enemy. Within weeks, the French were defeated leaving much of the country under German control.
